Call for Submissions: I See You See Me

The Internationaleyes OCAD Student Group invites all OCAD students to submit works.
Project Theme:
Our theme is seeing our world through unique life experiences. We encourage all students to express what it means to be a living between, among and within diverse cultures, countries, identities and languages.
All students - international and local – are invited to participate by sharing their unique stories and perspectives on life in a global context.
Project Background:
This exhibition is being organized by Internationaleyes, an OCAD student group whose aim is to welcome international students to our school’s diverse community. We help international students adapt to Canada by creating social events and providing guidance. This is the first show organized by Internationaleyes and an opportunity for both international and local students to share their personal life experience and gain valuable experience and exposure.
The Exhibition:
The exhibition will run from April 1st until April 15th 2010 in Transit Space on the 2nd floor of 100 McCaul Street.
The Opening reception will take place April 1st at 5 p.m.
Selection Process:
The Call for Submissions is open to all students at OCAD. Artworks from all disciplines are encouraged and can be any size. Artists may submit up to 5 artworks for consideration.
The submission deadline is March 1st, and successful applicants will be notified before March 15th by email. Submissions will be juried by Internationaleyes student representatives, two faculty advisors and a curator. Please see the following page for submission requirements.
Requirements:
• Artist statement (no longer than 1 page) about yourself as an artist, your background and information on your piece(s).
• Up to 5 images of artwork, submitted in digital format (jpeg)
