Overview
Dr Nancy Paterson has been an instructor at the Ontario College of Art & Design since 1990, teaching a variety of practical (hands-on) and theoretical courses; currently she is teaching 'Time-Based Media'. She is Facilities Manager at Charles Street Video, a non-profit, artist-run centre providing production and post-production facilities for digital video and audio.

Awards/Grants
She has received grants from the federal and provincial Arts Councils, both for specific projects and for creative development. In 2000 the Millennium Arts Fund (Canada Council) awarded her a grant for the development of an interactive net-based project titled: "The Library" which was a 3D environment available online. In 2003 she was awarded a BRAVO! Grant to produce a video titled "Coppelia" for the BRAVO! Channel.
Professional Affiliations/Boards Juries
Nancy Paterson is a member of various professional organizations including the Interactive Multimedia Arts & Technology Association and the College Art Association. She has acted as a consultant regarding new media, to many groups including the Board of Directors of Telefilm and the Department of Canadian Heritage.
